Los Locos de San Miguel de Allende

Every weekend for the past few weeks, the "crazies" have been dancing around town in preparation for the big event, el Dia de Los Locos, San Miguel de Allende's version of Mardi Gras. This gathering back in May is tiny compared to the number of people that will gather on June 13th for this year's event, which is expected to draw over 10,000 people. Here's what last year's event looked like.

Zumba in San Miguel de Allende

The other day we were walking through the Jardin and came across this group of hundreds of people having a blast participating in a mass Zumba class that filled the entire plaza. Two-and-a-half hours later they were still at it! We learned that this class was part of a health awareness event that occurs once a year in San Miguel de Allende.

If you would like to join a Zumba class in San Miguel de Allende, head to Juarez Park on Saturdays at 8:30AM, and for a nominal fee you too can join the Zumba craze.

Mexico City - The Friendliest Place on Earth?

Maybe not, but last week we noticed these ladies doing their part by giving away free hugs to everyone that walked by in the historical center of the city.
