George Baker, a San Miguel Photographer
San Miguel de Allende is a place of chance encounters. One day, while we’re eating a burger at the original Oliver’s, Antonieta notices a photo on the wall of a very familiar alley. Upon closer inspection, we realize that this is OUR alley, Callejon de Chepito. Not only that, the photographer is sitting at the next table. We strike up a conversation (it happens all the time in San Miguel) and learn that he and his wife Kristy lived on our street for a little while when they first moved here.
George Baker is like many San Miguel de Allende transplants. He was a long time furniture maker and co-owner of an art gallery that he owned with Kristy in the States. In 2008, they decided to sell everything and start a new life in San Miguel.
George has transformed himself into a very talented photographer. You can see more of his work at www.grbakerphotos.com.
We hope to see you soon at our B&B in San Miguel de Allende!
