Guests of Antigua Capilla Bed and Breakfast Rekindle Long Lost Love in San Miguel de Allende

One of the best parts of having a bed and breakfast is meeting people from all over the world with interesting life stories. Francisco and Estela are prime examples of this.

Francisco and Estela - Reconnecting after 30 years

Francisco, a San Diego tri-athlete, and Estela, a Mexico City cosmetology business owner, were in their early teens when they first met at a tennis club in Tijuana 30 years ago. They developed a friendship, followed by an innocent courtship. The relationship would not last however. Estela and her family moved to Mexico City, and as teenagers often do, they lost touch.

30 years later, Francisco and Estela reconnected with the help of Francisco’s sister in Mexico City. They started corresponding and quickly realized that the attraction they had for one another as kids was still there.

The love birds have been racking up some serious frequent flyer miles recently flying to each other’s home towns as often as they can. On Francisco’s most recent trip to Mexico City, they both escaped to San Miguel de Allende and stayed with us at our B&B in San Miguel de Allende. They loved their time in San Miguel hanging out at the inn, wining and dining around town and just being together.

We recently heard that Estela is planning to relocate to San Diego. We’d like to think that their experience at our special place in San Miguel de Allende had something to do with it, but the truth is, when it’s meant to be...

Good luck you two!
